I have prepared separately 2 different metal oxides. Now, I want to make composites of them using the hydrothermal method. (can be considered as Ex-situ). How should I do that?
Abhishek Bhapkar To synthesize composites of two different metal oxides via the hydrothermal method in an ex-situ approach, start by preparing well-characterized metal oxides separately. Then, create aqueous solutions of metal precursors for each oxide, ensuring homogeneity by thorough mixing. Adjust the pH if necessary and combine the solutions in the desired ratio. Transfer the mixture to a hydrothermal reactor, seal it, and subject it to the specified temperature and pressure conditions for hydrothermal treatment. After cooling, filter the resulting material, wash it to remove impurities, and dry it in an oven.
Confirm the formation of the composite through characterization techniques such as XRD and SEM. Depending on the unique qualities of the metal oxides and the intended qualities of the composite, modify the parameters.
