i am also doing same research work these days. AC also contributes to enhance the porosity of the coat or layer that you will going to do. It may be enhancing the performance than traditional way due to porosity development of the surface. If your work without more alkaline condition (less than 4M of KOH or other alkaline) you can use PVDF. Otherwise, you can use PTFE due to high resistant with heat and corrosion in alkaline conditions.
