Is there a software (non command based programs) to make a schematic diagram of gene (4500bp) and label multiple primer and probe binding sites and amplicon regions? An example diagram in the attachment.
It looks like they used Microsoft powerpoint. Maybe Adobe Illustrator.

Among the free tools you may use SnapGene Viewer, Gene Designer, Serial Cloner, .... Otherwise, trial version of the commercial ones such as CLC and Geneious is applicable for a few weeks. Lastly, as Katie said you can use Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop; however these may not be freely available and on the other hand sizing of the features is not controllable if it matters.
