I need to extract dsRNA from a dsRNA expressing bacteria by using Trizol. I want to know how to properly lyse the cells. If you have full protocol for extracting dsRNA in bacteria using Trizol then please provide it here.
Just follow the instructions that come with the Trizol for mRNA. I'd recommend using Zymo Research DirectZol columns for RNA cleanup after lysis. It negates the need for doing an alcohol precipitation and gives good quality RNA

You can use Trizol for lysis, it's part of the reason it's so popular. If Trizol won't work for your particular species, then a mechanical lysis such as freeze-thaw, ultrasonication or bead beating followed by Trizol cleanup might be best.
