I am working on a project that requires the need to join Al grade 3003 honeycomb structure with Al 1050.
Structure thickness of 3003 is 0.2 mm which is vertically in contact with surface of 1050 plate of 5mm.
For 3003 structure, one can not fold it to expose more area of contact, it is just 0.2mm width on plate surface.
Joining/bonding techniques:
It has to be permanent bond, no adhesives or sealants should be used, as this will increase the thermal resistance of the system.

there are a different techniques that can be used to join aluminum alloys:
- mechanical fasteners (i.e. nuts and bolts)
- welding (traditional welding but also friction stir welding, laser welding, ultrasonic welding…);
- adhesive (organic and inorganic) "structural" bonding;
- brazing and soldering;
- etc.
Various techniques are used based on the cost and strength required for the joint that you have to do.
Each technique has its pros and cons, you have to choose the best one depending on the use of the final product.

In your case, if there are no problems with fire resistance, perhaps it would be possible to use adhesive bonding method (.... quite fast and simple).
