Detail investigation needs to be done on the thermal properties of lightweight concrete. Hot disk constant analyzer was used and the results are comparable between different densities and additives used. Does anybody know other factors that influence the thermal properties of LFC (other building materials)? Currently I am comparing the results with the aid of microstructure formation, effect of additives, density.
There are other factors affects the thermal properties of LWC such as, room temperature & RH during testing. Moisture content of specimen and others related to material's constitutes and it's thermal properties. All the thermal testing should be done under a temperature & RH controlled environment. while reporting specify the Under what condition test is carried out.
Thank you for the info. Based from the info given, does the room temperature & relative humidity is same if the sample was stored in a same room or space? In this experimental study, the sample was stored and tested in the same space.
Based form several paper, it stated that it is important to study the hygroscopic characterization of LFC. Some of the writer mentioned that thermal properties of LWC are different due to porous characteristic. The moisture content is not the only factor that influences the thermal properties of LFC. Breathability, hygroscopic and microstructure is some of idea that could be used and I still need some idea or reference that could help me to understand the concept for thermal properties of LFC.

I am not an expert of LWC but I spent several years studying glass wool, expanded perlite and other insulating materials. Moisture content obviously matters. But moisture migration cannot be simply described using apparent thermal properties (Ther. cond etc). The physics is different and heat conduction equation alone doesn't hold in case of moisture presence. The effect are particularly evident during quick transient condition and less and less if the phenomenon approach the steady state.
