Good morning, I am trying to simulate a grid-forming inverter in a grid-connected microgrid. The inverter control comprises the nested inner voltage and current control loops, each with a PI controller, plus a conventional P/f ad Q/V conventional droop outer controller. I have barely set the controllers by trial and error but would like to study it in a more systematic way to improve said settings.

I am trying to develop a state space model to study the stability of the system. I am able to obtain the dynamic equations of the inverter but I fail to integrate the PI controllers in the model.

Could you please suggest some procedure or papers that could help me? Thanks in advance!
