Since you are using the trapezoidal rule, I assume you are doing numerical integration, so the symbolic approach suggested by Muhammad Ali will only work if the integrand has a closed-form solution that is relatively easy to find.

Firstly, I would suggest a higher order method. It seems like the function "integrate" would work well, and also handles infinity:
