Natural polymer-based gels are what I'm working on. I want to increase the pore size of the polymer from nano to micro. When the crosslinker concentration is increased, the pore size is lowered, and when the proportion of crosslinker is decreased, the gel's mechanical strength is weakened, which ultimately reduces its reusability. So, what physical strategies can we use to enhance pore size without compromising mechanical qualities (e.g., altering drying conditions, soaking the gel in certain solvents to improve porosity)?
