Dear Alex Lin, gelation may be caused by both chemical and physical bonds/knots. Chemical crosslinks are the results of reactions between functional groups, and difunctional monomers such as DVB and MBA. Physical crosslinks or more precisely entanglements knots occur only when the MW exceeds a certain threshold value characteristic of the polymer forming the gel. Chemical titration, Viscometry and spectroscopy techniques are used to analyse that. My Regards
I think you can do time dependent rheology of solution. Thixotropic behavior with hysteresis area is good for find the el behavior of polymer solution. Literature is easily available for help to know about time dependent rheology.
