Years ago I had an experience regarding fake account in RG. The user of the account claimed to be my MS supervisor and claimed his (my supervisor) publications. I reported the case several times to the RG admins, but up to this time, no any action taken by the RG admins.
I wonder if RG admins are doing something to reduce the existence of fake accounts, because I realized that there is a lot of fake RG accounts in existence.
Times without number, people often request for some of your articles or codes. However, going through their profile, you find out that most are not even related to your area. For instance, someone from theatra art asking of CG code. This acccounts seems fake
Sulaiman Mohammed Ibrahim , even if their profile matches your area, we are not sure whether that same person is the authentic owner of the profile. I mean, it is very possible in RG to impersonate somebody, as I have already cited an example.
I also not aware of how to trace the fake IDs at RG. Please let me also know how to identify?

But it only block a sender, we need stronger actions like deleting these fake persons.
