I have seen most of the literature and seen that everyone is varying the Reynolds number from 10-40 in laminar and 10000-25000 in turbulent flows but how are the calculating it. As we cannot find the effective thermo-physical properties at inlet.

1. Are they using empirical relations for calculation of effective properties?

2.If yes, how are they giving the secondary phase thermo-physical properties?
