I recall once though seeing a sign on a tree in Thailand that was hand written. It said a selfish genius is a social threat. It made me think what does this mean. Maybe our society doesn't want immaculate manuscripts at the expense of ignorance of those on the street. We should not be quick to get home to computers in order to add more references to our document if in so doing this we walk past the beggar wanting a dollar as we are too busy. Yes, we need to have publications, that is how our society advances knowledge. They will take time & people always do want them done quickly for sure, but there is a balance between adequate content, clarity & prompt publication.

well from experiences as a graduate student now, I think u need to develop new ideas based on previous studies (that is called advancing your field). Next, try to write as lucid as you can (that is called writing abilities). Finally, trying to convince the readers the value of your research (that is called impressing your readers and of course editors). At the same time, try to be patient because some top tier journals can have longer timelines to evaluate ur manuscript.
