I have made a 3d model of a building and I am trying to find out the eigenvectors for each modeshapes using SAP2000 . In sap2000 I can easily find the other details like eigenvalues, modal participation factors, etc but I am getting eigenvectors.
It will be very helpful if you can help.
If you just want to get the mode shapes, you can use display> deformed mode shape >analysis case=modal.
As you probably want the mode shape amplitudes (eigenvectors), you will have to use the tables that display the analysis results [display>tables]. There, you can expand analysis results > joint output > displacements and thick joint displacements. Make sure also to select the modal load case so that you can see the joint displacements for that case. When you obtain the table of the joint displacements, you will see the list of mode numbers, joint numbers and the corresponding mode shape amplitudes (joint displacements) in all directions. I usually export these data to excel so that it is easier to analyse.
