Dst is derived traditionally from 4 stations that are within 25 degree latitude. i.e kakioka, hermanus, san juan and honolulu. I need to find out how to derive the base line value Ho for these stations

A magnetic indice is the signature of a disturbance. To determine this disturbance as for example for K index of a given station, the regular variation of the the Earth's magnetic field of the station ( Sr) is withdrawn from the observation and the difference measures the disturbance and give the value of the index
After indices as Ap or Dst are defined by using the K index of particular stations
