Standard procedures are available for calculating volume  and in turn biomass from dbh & tree height.  You may refer any standard text book on forest mensuration. It is also possible to find out carbon biomass using standard procedures. However, what approach is most suited  depends on aspects such as  the the extent of area of the ecosystem , species/ species mix and size class distribution

This is not clear that you are going to estimate biomass of some specific species or you are going to construct new allometric models. By the way, if you want to estimate carbon or biomass, you need to find allometric models for your species in similar ecological condition.  One easy way is using GLOBALLOMTREE model. The article that describes this model has been published in iforest journal. It includes more than 1000 models for a large variety of species.  If you find the model, you can simply put d or h of the trees into the model and estimate biomass or carbon for different tree components. 

But if are going to construct new models, you have to cut some tress based on diameter distribution, weight them, measure moisture content and carbon concentration. Then run a regression analysis to derive the models. The following book is a great help:

You should develop allometric equations for the specicies found at your sites.  If this is not feasible you could use published equations and verify their applicability to your sites with a small sample of individuals across the range of size classes.

There are many highly cited references (including reviews on the topics and meta-analysis), that may serve as a template even though this may not be the right tree species, e.g.:

We often use empirical models to obtain the biomass of trees.

But it is very difficult to obtain empirical models through much field experiments.

I agree Flanagan and Zhixiang comments, try to find allometric equations (dependin on species, age and site quality) or develop them by destructive sampling.

If you have it, try to obtain LIDAR information to estimate DBH and hegiht and then aplly the equations.

I have

• DBH, height and species name of trees within all the 20m2 circular plots.

• Height, cover and species name of shrubs within the circular plot.

• Fresh and dry weight of shoots, roots of herbs/grasses and litter collected from      the plots.

• Soil samples for laboratory analysis.

If you don't, and you want to publish your result in a scientific journal, you have to find proper allometric equations to estimate biomass and carbon of above or bellow ground components of the trees. In this case, your may find your species in this data base:

As stated by others  using Allometric relationship is the most viable method. If a suitable one is already available you can straight away use it. If not, you can develop one suited to your study area. A number of methods exist. You can read the article

GlobAllomeTree is an international web platform for tree allometric equations to support volume, biomass and carbon stock assessment. I think this is the best way to ecosystem biomass and carbon assessment but there are any equation for Iran.

Allometric equation is the appropriate way. there are different types. we have general equations for forests and we have those  that suits a particular ecological region. W e also have those that use dbh alone and we have those that use dbh, height and wood density. refer to  Chave et al., 2014, Brown, 87 among others.

Fit the allometric equation most suited to the location & species. Selection of which models is best suited to the situation  depends on the familiarity of the tree /species/ecosystem .

Please use allometric equations in the similar ecological conditions. Otherwise you need to build your own .

If you have allometric equation for the species in question of your area, you can fit in the model and calculate.

I used allometric equations in previous studies that they are similar ecological characteristics or forest types to measure above-ground biomass of tree species (stem, branch and leaf).
