I am designing a shell and tube heat exchanger . The gas stream is heated by heat exchanger . How to find pressure of gas after the heat exchanger . There will be pressure frictional pressure drop and pressure increase as a result of temperature increase .
Try to use some correlation like this by Bejan, Tsatsaronis and Moran in "Thermal Design and Optimization". Its the chapter 6.1 and he also resolves a example for a gas shell-and-tube counterflow HX in 6.3.1, probably it will help. If the fluid is a gas and the pressure is low, probably the pressure drop will be low and you can assume isobaric.

My undestanding is that pressure increases with tempertaure in closed system only. Heat exchanger is an open system.
