I have research about how to reduce gas content from waste combustion. Before i reduce the gas, i should know what the content of the gas from waste combustion. How to find out the gas content from waste combustion? Before i write on this page, i've tried take a sample of the gas and analyze it with Gas Chromatography. Is it the right method? Or there is another method/tools to prove it?

The use of a GC should suffice, particularly one fitted with a thermal conductivity detector (TCD). Alternatively, since the major gases from combustion are H2O, CO and CO2, you can use a combined H2O/CO2 Gas Analyser. Many manufacturers have specific devices for this type of analysis. The method to be used will depend primarily on the compounds in the off gases from waste combustion you would like to measure. Gas chromatography would probably be more appropriate for measurements of trace organic compounds. Alternatively some companies produce (online) analyzers for "macro compounds", like CO2, O2, CO, CH4, etc.
