I am working on single nucleotide polymorphism studies in Formalin fixed tissues , i want to know how i can find out my selected SNP'S whether its a Germline or somatic?? is there any online bioinformatic tools available to cross verification ..
I suppose it depends on what genes you are looking on and where are your SNPs located. If your gene is not expressed in gonads/germline, how can SNP be called as germline mutation?
Abhijeet Singh thank you sir , so you mean to say we have to look for the expression pattern of that gene whether its expressed or not in gonadal tissues ?
