In order to create my models, I'm currently seeking for a database where one can find the Depreciation rate or the Net Domestic Product for a large set of countries. Does someone have one that he can advise me?
Depreciation rate of which specific economic indicator/variable?
I'm currently looking for a general indicator, an average, which can be used in a macroeconomic situation. In other words, I'm seeking if it exists for a depreciation rate that can be used in a econometric formula which for example can have for other variables the GDP, the sum of capital and labour of a country.
Thanks for the clarification. In macroeconomics, the concept of "economic depreciation" is generally common and applicable in preparations of national accounts. In that realm, economic depreciation basically refer to the decline in economic value of fixed capital (assets) over time. In terms of calculation of depreciation, different suitable methods can be used. Such estimated economic depreciation is deducted from GDP to obtain Net Domestic Product (NDP).
