Sometimes stress results when you think about the huge amount of work you must accomplish. I suggest that you break down your project into small parts, and then only focus on the part you are working on NOW.
To use a metaphor, do not think about the tall mountain you need to climb. Think only about getting to the top of the next hill.
Of course, to do this you must have strong overall plan so you never pick the wrong hill. :-)

I agree with MIchael that breaking the work down and looking at it in smaller parts is very helpful. I make a list of the things I need to do and include some short, simple tasks. That allows you some satisfaction as you see you've made some progress.
I teach workshops on living well with stress (and have to do so myself!). Deep breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation are wonderful for easing stress and improving focus. Acupressure, acupuncture, shiatsu and massage can all help. There are some good resources online for self-acupressure and self-shiatsu and doing this yourself increases feelings of control, which can always help when you feel overwhelmed. Spending time in nature does wonders for our stress levels, ability to focus and creativity. And, of course, simply carving out a little bit of time to do what you love (that's not work-related) is hugely beneficial, even if it's only a few minutes each day.
Remind yourself, too, that this situation won't last forever. Now I have to get back to my study and the huge list of things I have to take care of for that. Good luck!
