For our findings, we should not expose the name of the companies we research about and the participants of that companies? so we only mention company A and company B, Mr. A and Mr. B? If they allowed us to expose their company name and participants name will that be fine we report about the actual name?
For me the reasons to decide on this would be; Is it essential for scientific purposes to identify companies or people, yes or no???? Or is it only nice to know or give companies the opportunity to take advantage - in some way - of this comparison?
To disclose or not to disclose, depends majorly on research goal. you cannot disclose the name without the consent, even if it is required by the research.
For participants absolutely.
Not sure about companies (all depends on contractual arrangment?).

Releasing the names of individual participants should be avoided. Companies might agree to release their names for whatever purposes but the data on their employees cannot be released without prior approval from the participants (employees) themselves.Typically participants have agreed to take part in the research on grounds of anonymity and removing that makes them vulnerable, especially if companies can identify the person and link that to the responses. Hope the answer will be useful, first of all we expect researcher to maintain the anonymity of participants or if not possible at least confidentiality. Thus names of participant should not be disclosed in any situation. However name of the company is concerned, it depends up on many things like setting, goal of research, consent taken from company or organization and many times outcome of the study. Name of the company is disclosed only when the motive is advertisement of company/an organization or its products. Here research is usually done by company itself for promotion. Here the risk is company may present fake information because sometime result may not in the favour of company. Second reason for not disclosing the name of company is if study result is not in favour of company the company may be defamed and researcher does not have this right, can be considered intentional and unethical. Only type of industry can be disclosed if study is conducted including many similar kind of companies rather than name. Finally, the motive of researcher should be to find the fact rather than focusing on the names of company.

Consent is the most important ethical concern in this context. The names of the participants should not be disclosed, however, the name of the companies could be revealed depending on their consent to disclose it. It also depends on the objective of the study.
