I would also usually use a platinum wire as the reference instead of silver. Platinum tends to be fairly stable and easy to clean between use. You may consider using a different pseudo reference if you're carrying out your measurements over a long period and start to notice the potential drifting. Then something like a Ag/AgCl wire could be a better choice.
