I’m working with LaMnO3 as supercapacitor electrode.
I prepared my LaMnO3 by sol gel method, however when I tested the electrochemical properties for my LaMnO3 electrode (pasted in nickel foam) in 1 M KOH electrolyte I got about 3 peeks in my CV curve. My question is how to explain the presence of these peaks. The attached file in CV (scan rate is 1mV/s) .

In that paper the CV has only two peaks, however for me CV has more than two peaks.
Are there any infos (XRD etc.) about your LaMnO3-x composition (x : 0.000, ..., e.g. two or more x values) ?
Note : Also, it will be helpful a "background CV of your substrate" e.g. (pasted) nickel foam, w i t h o u t the LaMnO3-x

I have similar experience with CdMn2O4. The CV curves contained two additional peaks in addition to the peaks reported in the previous works. I think this could be explained by selective dissolution of doubly charged cation out of its position in the pervoskite-type crystalline lattice. The XRD of pristine material just showed diffraction peaks of CdMn2O4 but the recycled material showed lowering of the crystallinity and minor amounts of alpha-MnO2 due to the dissolution of cadmium ions from their positions in the crystalline lattice.
