In the CHI660E software, there is no direct option to employ the DPASV technique for experimental studies. Here is what I tried: Under 'Techniques', I chose DPV and loaded the required parameters. Then, I clicked on 'Stripping mode' under the 'Control' menu. However, when I ran the experiment after loading the stripping mode parameters, the file saved as 'DPSV' - Differential Pulse Stripping Voltammetry.
Is this the same as DPASV, or should I follow some other steps in the software? I'm not getting any current peaks using this method.
A bit late, but maybe it's helpful to someone else. Stripping voltammetry (SV) is commonly used with SW or DPV.
There are 3 types of SV
1. Anodic SV, in which species normally undergo reduction and then oxidation
2. Cathodic SV, where species undergo oxidation and then reduction
3. Adsorptive SV, where species are adsorbed without electrolysis.
I remember reading this in a book, but cannot remember which one now, unfortunately.
So to answer your Q. Yes. it should be the same thing as long as you know whether to go from neg to pos potentials or vice versa
