I was adding reference to my manuscript using endnote. There was one author with different papers in different years. I need to cite all those papers in format " Author (year1;year2;year3) but through endnote i am unable to edit references in this format. It is adding the author name again and again, with its year of publication but i want the name of author only once along with the years of authors publications. Can anyone help?

For instance the Author is "Islam" and he published in 2012, 2013 and 2014. So you want to put the 3 refernces under one sentence, isn't it? Okay, firstly insert the three citations after the sentence. Please make sure all the inserted references are with in the same bracket like: (Islam, 2012; Islam 2013; Islam 2014). Then put your cursor on 2012, and click edit & manage citations (under Endnote citation tab). Then you will see the one of the 3 citations (2012) is selected. Then under edit citation, select "Exclude author" and click ok. Now you can see only the year. You do the same procedure for all of the 3 references and manually write the name of the author just before the citation: Islam et al. (2012, 2013, 2014).
