I have reservoir level and storage volume data for more than 10 reservoirs of a state. I want command area of each reservoir in order to generate raster images of Reservoir Storage Index (RSI) using IDW interpolation. But I don't know how to draw the command area using any GIS tool. Please Help
1. Launch ArcGIS and create a new map document.
2. Add the desired base map layer to the map document.
3. Select the ‘Create Features’ tool from the ‘Edit’ menu.
4. Choose the ‘Polygon’ tool from the Create Features pane.
5. Draw a polygon around the area of the reservoir to define the command area.
6. Select the ‘Edit Features’ tool from the ‘Edit’ menu.
7. Select the polygon to edit its attributes.
8. Enter the desired values for the attributes such as the reservoir name, total capacity, etc.
9. Save the changes and close the map document.
