why not using the NIST/XCOM data base?

Usage is very simple and the data are reliable...
... other energy values than the standard ones can be used ...
... even a series of energy values via upload of a datafile ...
One has to take a bit care about the units (e.g. MeV is used) and the decimal points (instead of commas) in the presentation of the values.
