I have 10 items measuring ICT adoption. After PCA, It ended up with 2 components with 1(4 items) and 2(6 items), I have summated the the items and have saved it as ICT1 and ICT2.
Now, I would like to check the association between ICT adoption and the demographic variables.
Is it right to combine the variables ICT1 and ICT2 as one factor and run the test?
Is ICT adoption represented by ICT1 and ICT2? And you wanted know whether the ICT adoption is significantly related to demographic profile? Am I right?
First check that which type of primary scale has been used by you for measuring ICT adoption. You need to use ANOVA,If you measure ICT adoption using interval (likert)or ratio scale. You require two categorical variables if you want to use chi square test.
