AS I am student of MSc public health and i don't have much depth knowledge of research, i want to know in much about secondary research methods,.
i choose topic of side effect of antidepressant drug but i am bit confuse about how to get data as in UK during this pandemic time it is hard to get permission from NIHs to collection any kind of data and as new researcher i am still confused how to collect data for primary as well as secondary research.

You can conduct a survey and ask about the side effect of such drugs from those who have used them. Because of the Pandemic, you can create an electronic questionnaire (it is free through Google online forms) and send its link to the participants in different ways including through e-mail, Whatsapp, Telegram, etc. Hope it can be of help. Surely you are paying a considerable amount of money to gain your MSc in Public Health, surely you are getting a good basis in research methodology and that you have good supervisors who can guide you in areas of concern. If not, what are you paying for?
oh so you mean i have to go though all systematic review and after find the gap in knowledge ,now i get bit confused here..i don't have to select new participant here? Touran Ahour hello i really appreciate your suggestions but could you please tell me that for secondary research , involving participant is really necessary? and if yes than how can i get adding them online? like in the uk during pandemic time it is very difficult to get access and get permission from NHS. and they might not reveal data of psychic patients..
Chris Oliver i am totally agree with you , but due to pandemic and ester break, i lost communication with my supervisor and we have some communication on mail only so that's not enough for me as laymen..

If you cannot conduct primary research and want to do a secondary one, you don't need to employ participants. You can use existing studies in the area of your interest and compare and contrast their findings. Even, you can conduct your study based on different variables such as age, gender, country, etc. of the participants in the existing studies. In this regard, you can come up with a taxonomy of drugs and their side effects based on the already established findings.
