How to do crack modelling manually in Ansys APDL?

I am working on a concrete beam which is subjected to point loading. I want to do crack modelling by introducing crack at a particular section of a beam of specific crack width & crack tip manually. Manually in the sense, doing the job without using APDL commands. I am looking for help here. Any help would be appreciated.

For modeling a crack you must determine if that crack growing or not.

If your crack doesn't grow then...

1- you can model it by defining a different cross-section.

or 2- maybe you can model your structure by using a spring.
