I wish to electrospin PVDF in DMF-Acetone with the addition of salt to improve fiber morphology. I'm trying to figure out how to dissolve 0.2wt.% NaCl in the solution since raising the temperature and stirring for more than an hour doesn't seem to help. Any help would do, thanks!
Try to replace NaCl by LiCl as lithium chloride is soluble in DMF (Li+ ion can coordinate stronger with organic solvents containing oxygen functional groups than Na+ ion).
NaCl is a salt and you can dissolve it just in water. so you should try mixture of solvent. water-acetone-DMF con be helpful.
Can you tell me the reason for using NaCl? Is it to make porous nanofibers?
Hello Arun, my purpose of adding salt to my polymer solution is primarily to try reducing the fiber diameter. Also to reduce beading.

The Idea of using NaCl salt to increase the conductivity of the polymer solution to get reduced fiber diameter was right, but the problem is you cant use NaCl as it is water soluble and you are working with organic solvents.
Try using different salts which dissolves in organic solvent, also with ionic liquids, triethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, small amount of pyridine etc.
