Hi all, I am looking for available commercial software or open source tools to model the decay of mud brick structures and focus future preventive interventions. We have surveyed and monitored the UNESCO site of Çatalhöyük in Turkey for 4 years and have a huge amount of data spanning from surface 3D data, measurements, temperature, humidity, salinity, etc.
I am aware that many GIS tools can do spatial analysis on the data we collected and do the job but I would like to use a 3D approach and not sure whether or not ESRI Arc Scene can do the job.

I was not sure if I understood the idea of your predictive model that bases on laser scanning in heritage's preservation. - Could be useful in rebuilding and renovation of heritage sites and objects and in detecting slowly heritage's deterioration. If you are planning to develop a technical tool for the field of risk assessment you could find useful dr. Robert Waller's CNM collection risk model. Good luck!

Search the internet for the authors of papers presented in the EUROMED conferences or the TECHNART conferences. I am sure you can find some useful papers and contacts there.
