How to determine the vertical and horizontal inclination at first node, in Applied Element Method?

I'm interested to analyze 2D beam using the recently new "Applied Element Method" please any one if you can tell me how to determine horizontal and vertical inclination at first node.i.e α and θ to determine the stiffness matrix.
