Exporational B-splines, a new type of spline function with better mathematical properties in theory (refer to [1]), require consideration during curve fitting due to the crucial impact of knots selection, similar to B-splines. However, it has been observed that when using the same knots selection method as B-splines, the fitting effect of Expo-rational B-splines is hard to surpass. This can be attributed to the inherent differences between Expo-rational B-splines and B-splines, where the former lacks order compared to the latter. Consequently, the determination of knots for Expo-rational B-splines may require a specific criteria. It is recommended to engage in sincere discussions and collaborations with relevant researchers.
