For an electrode which doesn't seem to have any significant peaks in its CV, is it possible to determine the electro chemical surface area (ECSA) from its double layer capacitance? If so, then what is the more reliable procedure and will it be as reliable as measured by other methods?

ECSA For catalyst
Net charge=Q’= mA.V
Double layered charge = q=mA.V
Charge due to H2 adsorption/desorption =Q= Q’-q = mA*V
Q’-q/S.r = C
C*1000mC/.210 mC/cm2=Cm2 (.210=pt constant)
ECSA =Aec=Cm2
SECSA = Aec*1/Ag*W
I am using this method to determine the ECSA.
