I am currently working on the synthesis of biodegradable nanoparticles and wanted to determine Point of Zero Charge (PZC) of nanoparticles so that I can manipulate surface charge of the nanoparticles depending on the pH.
With a zeta-pH plot ideally with the diffusion barrier method to avoid contact of the biodegradable material with the electrodes. See:

0.5 g of the biodegradable nanoparticles was added to solutions of different pH values in the range of 2 to 11. The solutions were shaken periodically until the pH stabilized. The final pH of the solution was measured, and the difference between the initial pH and final pH was taken as the point of zero charge (pzc).
