Someone once said: "Useful learning outcomes are those which describe what the typical student will be able to do by the time the course has been completed, and which can be assessed to measure to what extent students have achieved these outcomes"

Can someone please provide me with a guide, articles, readings or research on how to determine and construct practical Learning and or Module outcomes for a Higher Education (University) subject or course that is delivered via Distance and or Online Learning to working or adult students?

Is there a better or alternative way or method than using a common set of generic level descriptors such as those based on Bloom’s taxonomy for framing learning outcomes?

Looking forward to some help and support!
