Dear Yongmin,

Much of my PhD and Postdoc research was focused on developing mechanistic formulations for aerodynamic resistance facilitating more accurate estimation of ET and its partitioning between soil evaporation and plant transpiration.

Our recent work published in WRR (Haghighi and Kirchner, 2017 - attached below) provides a new expression for the aerodynamic resistance with explicit account of near-surface turbulence influencing soil evaporation and thus total ET dynamics (in the context of a hybrid dual-source ET scheme). I hope you find this article (and references therein) helpful.

You can also use the method proposed in chapter 2, FAO56 document. The name of the Chapter 2 is FAO Penman-Monteith equation. I attached a spreadsheet with the method implemented, use it to start.
