I want to develop a mobile application which can detect Marfan Syndrome from ECG 12 Lead Signal. I need an algorithm to make sure my application can show the right result. I read brief information from http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/guide/marfan-syndrome.
Hi Leonardo, it is not possible to detect Marfan syndrome using just an ECG. It requires a much more comprehensive evaluation, including several body systems.

I think it was impossible to develop such an algorithm. You can only report the most commonly detected ECG abnormalities among subjects with Marfan syndrome. Also those findings do not guarentee the diagnosis of Marfan syndrome because of multi-system involvement.

It would be a huge success if you find such an algorithm. This would be almost for a Nobel-prize award. According to current knowledge, it is however impossible. In Marfan syndrome several systems are involved, and the SA/AV nodes and His bundle abnormalities are not typical.
Aortic root can be massively dilated with no change in ECG. In cases of severe mitral regurgitation due to mitral valve prolapse in Marfan, there may be evidence of LVH --- however if you wait for that you are waiting too long. Echo is very important in diagnosis, as the most important thing to measure (both part of the criteria to make the diagnosis in the first place, as well as the most clinically relevant thing to follow) is the size of the aortic root at the sinuses, which is best measured by echo or MRI.
I agree with all the comments posted. it is impossible to diagnose Marfan syndrome based solely on EKG
Agree with all - not possible to detect or diagnose MARFAN through just an ECG; forget it. You need: Echo, CT, MR.

Diagnosis of Marfan syndrome includes clinical signs that in involve specially cardiovascular, orthopedics and ophthalmologic signs, and in cardiology the main abnormalities a usually asymptomatic (mitral valve prolapse and aortic dilatation), even when they are severe, and may have no changes on ECG. The presence of cardiovascular disease alone, do not close diagnosis of Marfan... So it is not possible with ECG make this diagnosis.
Along what lines were you thinking Leonard? I agree with all the above, I'm afraid.
