Hi every body,

I need a trend for design a industrial ventilator, which works on in incomprehensible air flow.

I know that these steps should be considered:

1- Calculation of Y:

Y = g*H - H is the ventilator head

2- Calculation of specific velocity:

Ns = n*Q^0.5/H^0.75

3- Calculation of needed power of fan using:

PQ = rho*g*Q*H

4- Calculation of outer diameter of fan using:

D2 = 6/(pi*n)*(2*Y/sai)^0.5 ---> how can I find the sai??

5- I saw a relation for diameter ratio in CFTurbo tutorial as following:

D1/D2 = 1.25*(sai/etaV)^0.5*sigma^(5/6) ---> how can I find the sigma??

using the calculated sigma in CFTurbo, I obtained D1/D2 = 0.762, but the software obtained that 0.725.

In addition, I didn't find any relation for calculation of velocities.
