Hello everyone,
I am working on developing an EMS concept for a household and each power component in the house such as battery, pv and heat storage is simply described with its characteristics rated power, self-discharge rate etc. instead of using complex models. Now I would like to change from a sensible heat storage with water as medium to a latent heat storage with PCM but I’m not sure how I can define such characteristics for this type of the heat storage. The characteristics for my sensible heat storage so far are thermal capacity (kWh), thermal power (kW), charging and discharging efficiency, self-discharge rate, max. and min. temperatures.
