I desiging and simulating microstrip array antenna at freq. above 100 GHz with CST MWS 2017 without using the adaptive mesh algorithm, becuase of the high frequency the time simulation with this option will be more than a month.
The simulations at CST MWS were done with Cells per wavelength of at least 10 for the Near / Far for to / from model and enabling the smooth mesh with equilibrate ratio of 1.5, because this option mimics the adaptive mesh algorithm, approximately .
For valdiation of the simulation results of the CST MWS I am using the ANSYS HFSS 2017
I am not familiar with ANSYS HFSS.
How can I deactivate the adaptive mesh at ANSYS HFSS and how can I define that the cells per wavelength will be 10, beacuase I want to be close as much as I can to definitions that I made at CST MWS?
Yes, very simple. Take the cavity resonator loaded on the waveguide transmission line and determine the resonant frequency and reflection coefficient (parameter S11) using two programs. If you get close values, then both programs equally display the physical processes in question.
Do other researchers familiar with simulations with cst and hfss that can answer my question?
