I am searching for a good topic involving CNT and graphene/graphene oxide for my PhD proposal. The field is so wide and complicated that I don't know where to start ! I'm interested in these categories of nanomaterials but may master's thesis (polymeric nanocomposite and water diffusivity) is not related to it. How can I find an applicational and interesting topic in this field? Thank you.
graphene application feilds is so wide and I think you can fiend a good topic for your proposal. first according to your feild of study determaine possible application of graphene based materials, then consultate with your supervisor. note that there is a big problem in iran, providing facilites and row materials! then you must think about this before making any dicision.
Reza, it is nice that you have chosen this forum. However, it seems you are not very specific. For instance, is it an area in experimental or theoretical? What aspect of the condensed matter systems are you interested in? Electronic, thermal, mechanical properties,...? I think from your second post, it is not possible with experimental. So your focus can be in the theoretical aspect. I know there are so many good theoreticians in Iran. Current and hot topics are (electronic and thermal) transport in deformed graphene (either topological defects, charge homogeneity, ripples, corrugations, etc.) and spin-orbit coupling effects on transport properties.
