As in health system research, we will be measuring multiple indicators and we have to fix different threshold limits indicator wise. For some indicators the values will be less than 10 where the table can show value as 1 even if the value increases by 10% point the value remains same.
For one of our study, we had taken different threshold level for LQAS method for each of the indicators for survey purpose (to assess increase in utilization of each service). Here the thresholds were set as per the required standard or as per national target. However, while assessing inequity in utilization , the LQAS threshold was one and set as per current national target.
Based on the objective of your study you will be able to decide on the threshold level.
In one of my Project, where we set different threshold for multiple indicators.For eg Institutional delivery is already 90 percent so our threshold is 95 only for some other indicators the threshold is kept 10 to 15 % higher from national or state average.
