New methods and models of learning, adapted to independent work, suggest certain structure of classes and guidance papers to reach the expected learning outcomes, we also need innovative activities and approaches to learning. Attempts of implementing personalized approach in different countries universities, their characteristics and differences are studied.
I presented in my PhD thesis about designing personal learning environments and using them in knowledge dissemination skills. I think that this trend is one of the recent trends in higher education institutions, how to create your own learning methods and it makes learning centered around the learner

Higher education institutions are trying to keep up with rapidly changing student expectations. The challenge is that today’s college students are diverse and not everyone shares the same goals and wants.
Significant portions of the student body have lives outside of the classroom and either do not have the time to attend college full time or have specific objectives that only require part-time attendance. These outcomes, among others, have contributed to the growing sense that higher education institutions should offer personalized learning pathways.
Personalized learning journeys are widely considered to be the future of higher education, especially as technology evolves and offers even more opportunities for customization. Adaptive learning, immersive learning, and CBE programs will likely gain traction in higher education going forward, especially in a post-COVID-19 world in which institutions are more familiar with the ins and outs of online learning programs.
While there is no single approach to implementing a personalized learning program, there are a few steps that institutions can take to give themselves an advantage going forward.
1. Develop and build pre-tests for learners, which allow faculty to learn how much a student knows about a topic. If an individual scores high on the pre-test, he or she can score out of that unit and move on.
2. Identify opportunities for intervention in case students struggle to progress with content. Faculty should also establish paths for remediation to get students back on track to completion.
3. Formulate acceleration methods, especially in competency-based education programs, that allow students to fast-track through courses if they have demonstrated their mastery of a subject.
4. Prepare to recalibrate and adjust programs for different learning objectives.
Learning Management System (LMS) is the best choice to implement personalized learning. In LMS the student can learn according to his/her own interest, pace, time, etc.
