Hi, I need to design an AMC cell in CST Microwave Studio and obtain the reflection phase vs frequency diagram.
Some of the steps that I used to design an AMC cell have been given below. Please go through it and give suggestions.
1. selected the FSS template.
2. in the boundary conditions the Zmax boundary condition was changed to open(add space).
3. plane (linearly polarized) incident wave is specified with phi=0 and theta=0.
4. the frequency range is fixed ad the Frequency solver is used to solve the problem.
5. the arg. of the S matrix is checked (1D results --> S parameters --> arg(S))
I just want to know if this the correct procedure for AMC unit cell design and to obtain the reflection phase vs frequency diagram.
Hello. One way of designing a unit cell is to use infinite boundary conditions which will provide you the behavior of a unit cell of the array. For the unit cell design, You can use Electric walls and Magnetic Walls in boundary conditions or in other words Ht=0 and Et=0 in X and Y directions respectively. From here you can get the magnitude and phase of reflected field.
