I have a soil map with 20 map units for a study area in Sardinia (Italy) and I would like to convert these units (taxonomic) classified as FAO and USDA (e.g. Eutric and Calcic Vertisols FAO legend 1988; Typic Pelloxererts int. Xerofluvents USDA soil taxonomy 1988) for ArcSWAT input.
I would like to create a lookup table for associate my map units like as SSURGO (mukey) soil map tipically used in SWAT for US soils; attached the legend of my map.

Problem solved. You must build a database (or overwrite the existing one) containing the map units (the usersoil table in SWAT) and associate the required data (eg. sand, lime, clay) for one or more pedological horizons (soil layer in SWAT). The information can be retrieved from pedological profiles, others can be estimated trough pedotransfer functions using SPAW.
