Hello everyone , I need help to convert the unit of the concentraction of a synthetic antioxidant (AO) from mg/ml to mg of AO/g of DPPH.
for exemple:[AO]=0.01875 mg/ml -------> ???? mg of AO/g of DPPH
we work with a [DPPH]=0.025 mg/ml

hi Farid, we use Ascorbic Acid to give Ascorbic Acid Equivalents (µM). We make a standard curve using Ascorbic Acid at the following concentrations: 0, 5, 10, 25, 50, 125, 250 uM. In your case you would use your synthetic antioxidant. Take the equation of the line from the standard curve. Lets say the equation is -0.0005x + 0.681. The formula= (Abs sample-0.681)/-0.0005) which will give AO Equivalents (µM). Hope this helps.
