I am writing a review on vegetables' phytochemical content, andd I am reporting values in mg / 100 g dry weight. I am not an expert on food analysis neither food chemistry. I have found an article stating that the total phenolic content was calculated from the calibration curve, and the results were expressed as mg of gallic acid equivalent per g dry weight. In the results and discussion section, it is mentioned that the values obtained for the concentration of total phenols are expressed as mg of GA/g of extract, and the reported value is 160.38 mg GA / g. 

My first question is: are mg GAE /g of extract equal or the same as mg GAE / g dry weight? could I just simply say that 160.38 mg GA / g extract are equal to 160.38 mg GA / g dry weight?

My second question if the above is false: Could it be that the author make an error either in describing the units in the methodology or in the results section?

Third question: if there is no mistake, is it possible to transform a value from mg GA / g extract to mg GA / g dry weight?

If one assumes that the reported value (160.38 mg GA / g) is expressed in g of dry weight, to calulate a value per 100 g dry weight, I obtain 16083 mg GA / 100 g. According to one reviewer of my manuscript, this would be an extremely high value (Reviewer's comment: the author give their value 160.38 mg/g ethanolic extract! Please correct this (16038g/ 100g DW: This would be 16% and would be an extremely high value!). How can I properly convert mg GA / g extract to mg GA / g dry weight?
